5 Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking & Primate Safari
The 5 day Uganda safari goes to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for mountain gorilla trekking and Kibale National Park for Chimpanzee tracking or Habituation Experience. This is a typical primates safari in Uganda. Departure dates are open because it is a private trip. Transportation is offered in a 4×4 Safari vehicle, very comfortable with Air conditioner. Accommodation is offered in different accommodation lodges / options depending on your budget. Accommodation is classified into budget / basic, deluxe / Mid Range and Luxury / High-End lodges.
Day 1: Drive to Bwindi National park
Have heavy breakfast and drive to south western. Make a first stop over at the Uganda Equator for photos and informative talk. Embark on the journey with another stopover in Mbarara town for en route lunch and after to Bwindi. This is the largest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and birds, valleys, hills and swamps filled with papyrus.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Have an early breakfast and get ready for gorilla trekking activity, with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) staff. Ensure to carry along with you packed food, rain jacket, bottled water, jungle boots etc. you will be given an experienced ranger guides who will lead you inside the forest to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. It’s wise to move with packed lunch since the activity may take 2 to 7 hours while searching for these amazing creatures. Enjoy them playing, feeding, suckling young ones among other activities, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight, at your lodge as on day one.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Have heavy breakfast in the early morning, drive to Kibale National Park and lunch en route, arriving late afternoon for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking or Habituation Experience in Kibale Forest
After early Break fast, move into the Forest, for primate viewing. The activity starts at 8.00 am in the morning. Chimps tracking is a half day activity, involves taking a forest walk in search for chimps and other primates such as Red tailed monkeys, Galagos, Vervet monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Olive baboons, Grey Cheeked Mangabeys and L’Hoests Monkeys among others. There are also forest bird species, butterflies and mammals like forest elephants and Buffaloes. The park guide will provide detailed information about primates and other fauna and flora n Kibale forest. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters. Back to your lodge for lunch and after, visit the Bigodi Eco tourism site for another encounter to rare and beautiful flora and fauna.
Alternatively, we can choose chimpanzee habituation experience and spend the whole day in the forest with chimpanzees. This activity starts early at 6:00am before chimps get out of their nests and ends late at 7:00pm when chimps get back into their nests. Don’t forget packed lunch and carry enough drinking water.
Have dinner and overnight at your lodge as on day three.
Day 5: Return to Kampala or Entebbe International Air port
Have breakfast at the Hotel. Return to Kampala with en route lunch. If your flight is scheduled on that day, you will be driven direct to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
