Day 1: Depart Ngamba Island for Chimp viewing
At your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by a tour guide and transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC) for preparation before you take a boat to Ngamba Island. While on the boat, you will cross the equator as you head to Ngamba Island. Ngamba Island chimpanzee sanctuary has about 33 orphaned chimps which are being taken care of. Evening come back to Kampala and overnight at Sheraton Hotel or Tourist Hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Gorilla Forest
Leave from Kampala at 7:00am and head towards western Uganda. A stop at the Equator for photographs, the journey affords pictures from the vehicle of the long horned Ankole cattle, the rolling hills and terraced scenes of the region, and wonderful panoramas that are part of Kabale District. We have a lunch break on the way. Drive direct to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and arrive late evening. Dinner and over night Gorilla resort.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Gorilla Forest
This day is dedicated for gorilla trekking into the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
An early morning hike into the forest on the slopes of the volcanoes, advanced by experienced trackers will carry you around a group of Mountain Gorillas. These primates are rare, just 600 remaining. You will get within meters of the family, and be allowed to spend about 1 hour time around them. Coming back to the lodge for a late lunch, we have a chance for forest walk with the guides, or simply to unwind. The trekking may be honestly strenuous; up to six hours is not exceptional – at relatively high altitude. In the wake of trekking you will come back to the lodge for unwinding as you wait for your dinner.
Day 4: Bwindi National Park to Kampala
After breakfast, you will depart to Kampala arriving late in the evening. Drop off will be at your Hotel in Kampala or will be transferred to the Airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
