Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
In the morning, you will drive southwest to Bwindi Forest National Park in Uganda, with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Proceed with the picturesque drive to Kabale town, commonly known as the Switzerland of Africa. Later drive to Bwindi National Park. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp/ Silverback Lodge/Buhoma Group Bandas.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking and community walk
In the morning after breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a short briefing from the ranger guide about the rules and regulations while with the gorillas in the forest. After continue for the gorilla trekking in the jungle, gorilla trekking may take 2-6 hours depending on their movement. Meet and stay with the gorillas for a minimum of one hour, then return to your Lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you may go for community walk in the Batwa community, where you will be entertained and given tales of their remarkable culture. Supper and overnight at your hotel in Day 1.
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking Safari
Today, following the same procedure like on the first gorilla trekking adventure, you’ll track a different gorilla group / family, totally different from the one tracked on the previous day. On return from the tracking, drive to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the world’s fresh water lakes in the East Africa. Dinner and Acadia cottages/Bunyonyi Overland Camp.
Day 4: Transfer to Kampala.
In the morning after your breakfast, you will go for a boat ride along the lake and rotate around the many islands on the lake and have a scenic view of the well terraced hills around the lake. Later set off for your journey back to Kampala with stopovers for photography and lunch arriving at late toward the evening, and you will be transferred to your hotel for supper and overnight or to the Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
