The 7 Day Rwanda safari takes you for mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. Africa that, you take adventurous hike to the grave site of the Lake Dian Fossey or go for golden monkey tracking adventure. The tour also take you to Lake kivu in Gisenyi where you enjoy a boat ride to the hot springs or coffee island, visit Goma boarder of DR Congo and end with Nyungwe National Park in south western part of the country for Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk or colobus monkey trekking.

Day 1: Arrive in Rwnada – Kanombe International Airport
On landing in Kigali / Kanombe International Airport, Our company representative will be waiting for you with a Paper / placard with your Name(s), meet and greet and transfer to your hotel in Kigali for a welcome meal/drink, briefing about the safari, massage, dinner and overnight Manor Hotel, Serena Hotel, Chez Lando Hotel, Hotel Kempinski, Urbun Boutique Hotel, Step Town Hotel or Still Hotel among others.
Day 2: City Tour and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will go for a city tour where you will visit the genocide memorial museum, national museum and others. After lunch in the afternoon, you will transfer through terraced hills to Volcanoes gorilla Park, home to the mountain gorillas in Rwanda.
In the evening if interested, you will participate in cultural walk to Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village where you will discover more about the Banyarwanda community and their culture, be entertained in their traditional dance, dinner and overnight at;

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Adventure
Have your breakfast and report on Volcanoes National Park Headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing from the park officials about gorilla trekking experience. The trek usually takes 2 to 8 hours in the forest, however, move with your packed lunch, bottled water, tracking equipments among others. You are advised to hire a porter to assist you carry your small bag, push and pull you when you get stuck during the trek. You will be permitted to stay in the vicinity of the gorillas for a maximum of one hour. Later come back to your Hotel for launch and Relaxation. In the evening, embark on a natural walk to the beautiful Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo, dinner and overnight at your hotel/lodge as on day two.
Day 4: Dian Fossey Tombs tour / Golden Monkey Tracking and Transfer to Lake Kivu
In the morning, you will embark on the hike up to Karisoke Research Center, created by Dian Fossey one of the foremost primatologists in the world before her death in 1985. Discover more about the exercises of Dian Fossey of saving the lives of the mountain gorillas. Alternatively, we can go for golden monkey tracking or Mt. Bisoke hiking. On return, you will transfer to Lake Kivu in Gisenyi for dinner and overnight Serena Hotel, Paradise Marahide Hotel or Palme Resort Hotel among others.
Day 5: Boat Cruise, Connect to Nyungwe National Park
In the morning after breakfast, you will go for boat cruise on the Lake Kivu to the coffee Island, the hot springs and the Goma border. Enjoy the activities of local people in Rwanda, how they brew local bear. Later, connect to Nyungwe Forest by road with en-route stop for photography and lunch, or we can sail on Lake Kivu to Cyangugu and arrive to Nyungwe in the evening, dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House, Nyungwe top view hotel, Nyungwe forest Lodge or Peace Guest House.
Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking / Canopy Walk or Colobus Monkey Tracking
In the morning after breakfast, get prepared for chimpanzee tracking. Thereafter, you will be headed by local experienced ranger guide into the jungle to search for chimpanzees. Back to your lodge/hotel for lunch and unwind as you get ready for Black and White Colobus Monkey tracking or canopy walk in the afternoon to have a clear perspective of different bird species from the top of the forest. Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 7: Departure
Have your breakfast at the lodge, transfer to Kigali with en-route visits; the King’s Palace at Nyanza, Rwanda National Museum in Butare and Murambi Genocide Memorial Site. Have launch en-route and continue to your hotel in Kigali or the Airport for your flight back home in case it is scheduled on that day.
Akagera National Park: Enjoy fantastic game drive in Akagera National park in the eastern part of Rwanda near Tanzania boarder, you may see animals such as Giraffes, Lions, Antelopes, Elephants and Buffaloes among others. A boat ride along lake Ihema rewards you with many bird species, crocodiles and Hippos among others. Other attractions include Rusumo falls. Accommodation options include Ruzizi Tented Camp and Akagera Game Lodge.
